Nice 'a day in the city' shot. The monument looks very much like its French counterpart. Still, I wish we had less buildings like this. I hope that mankind will overcome patriotic-flavored buildings one day.

the monumental arch reminded me of l'arch de triomphe.
what are those intricate writings on top, any significance to it?

The story of the cardboard arch could be Italian! It's a beautiful arch, a bit lost with all that traffic around, but this is a common destiny for these monuments.
From the videos posted I can't understand what are the brides doing there… Just posing for pictures or there is something more?
