Because yesterday’s photograph showed only the upper floor of a building, it didn’t give a good idea about the extent of the work that needs to be done to bring the houses in the Old Town to their former glory. Which is why I decided to post a few more photos taken on Franceză Street. The first one shows the house whose second floor was the subject of yesterday’s shot. It is really a pity that this houses are not renovated because I believe – and I’m surely not the only one to believe it – that this area has a lot of potential.

  1. It must be wonderful to take a step inside, smelling, reading, listening to the many stories these buildings do have inside.
Beautiful photography indeed. Please have a nice Tuesday and thank you for bringing closer this city and its inside.

I love these photos of “tired” houses! So much character and history but sad to see them fall into poor repair! It would be fun to “explore” them with a flashlight….

Wonderful and unique buildings–I hate to see this architecture abandoned. It’s so much more beautiful than the boring buildings we see today.

I love the pictures. They’re sad, spooky and beautiful at the same time.
I can’t wait to come to Bucharest this summer… I will actually go for a photoshoot in the Historic Centre.
